Where to buy/price: I bought this Hatomugi Skin Conditioner from an online store - www.sasa.com. It was around USD$6 for 500ml. The bottle shown in the picture is my second bottle.
Hatomugi can be used as a Chinese medical material, it also can be eaten as food. Hatomugi can help with whitening skin, moisturise and lock in skin's moisture.
Texture/Scent: This toner is very water like and non sticky but milky texture. It is fragrance-free with no added colours. The milky colour is from the natural ingredients present in it.
How to use: There are few different ways to use this toner
As a toner - Use it after cleansing. Apply with cotton pads or palm and apply to face gently.
As a mask - Simply soak a few cotton pads with this Hatomugi Skin Conditioner and layer these pads on the face. Allow to rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove the cotton pad and massage the remaining toner on your face until dry.
It can also be as a spray - Decanted into a clean spray bottle and used as a face and body mist for a cooling and hydrating effect on hot day.
Final Thoughts: This Hatomugi Skin Conditioner doesn't have any fragrance, which I like it very much as it has less potential to irritate the skin. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy feeling behind. As I mentioned before, this is my second bottle. This "big" bottle can last more than 3 months. I like using this toner in summer times, it leave a nice, clean feeling on my skin. In a very hot day, I like spaying this toner on my face to keep my skin refresh.
As this toner is really lightweight that absorbs completely into the skin, I can say if you are in a very dry or freezing cold climates, this toner may not be enough for you to keep your skin moisture.
I am aware that this toner contains alcohol but I can't really feel it or smell it. This toner doesn't dry out my skin or I had no allergic reactions. It is a very decent priced toner considering size and quality. I will continue using it in summer times.
Many people saying this Hatomugi Skin Conditioner is a cheaper version of "Albion Skin Conditioner". Unfortunately, I haven't tried any Albion products so I can't actually comment on it. Hopefully in the near future, I can try the Albion skin conditioner so that I can compare and review which one is better.
